The Most Wonderful Time

Merry Christmas Eve!  I hope you find special time with people you love today and tomorrow.  The boys are having quiet time in their rooms right now and Chris and I are grabbing some relaxation before we head over to my in-laws' this evening.

We've been busy during this season, but we are grateful that Chris and I both have 4 days off in a row for Christmas!  Because Chris worked as a pastor for our entire marriage until now, he has never had Christmas Eve off.  He has always had to work Christmas Eve services, and the last few years have been 9:00 services, Midnight services.  It's just really nice to have him home all day today and all evening!

Here are a few of the things we've been enjoying this season:

My handsome sons were in their first performance.  Their Music for Tots class sang Suzy Snowflake in a Christmas Showcase.  They were hilarious!

 Watching Christmas movies

Enjoying Christmas presents.  Last year we started the tradition of letting the boys open their presents from us on Christmas Eve morning.  The rest of Christmas gets so busy with bouncing between families so we find Christmas Eve morning to be the most relaxing time.

Today we took advantage of the wind and took the boys out to fly kites.  It was so much fun!

I am looking forward to more family time, good food, and celebrating Jesus' birth!  Merry Christmas!
