Velcro Hair. Everything sticks to it! This picture has nothing to do with the post...I just wanted to share it!
Yesterday was our last day of t-ball. At the end of the game I said, "Hallelujah, it's over!" Ha! It's been a very challenging t-ball season for us. J-Man was just too young for it at 3 1/2. We were advised to find something he could excel at, because of all the challenges we've had with him in the past 6 months. We thought it would be nice for him, for his self confidence, to have something he was really good at in the midst of all the hard work he's doing on therapy stuff. He seems quite athletically able so we thought a sport would be good. We were wrong. He gets too competitive so there were many instances of him getting frustrated when someone else got the ball and yelling and throwing his glove on the ground. Yesterday he full on tackled his brother when E got the ball. Embarrassing? Quite.
After day 1 of t-ball I realized he was too young and too not ready for all that it brought. He's very unfocused and it was quite challenging for the coaches to keep him even slightly engaged the whole game. But we stuck it out, mostly because we had already paid for it...and because we wanted to teach the boys that you finish what you commit to.
I am really glad it's over, though!
Yesterday, Chris's brother invited us over to have pizza and swim. We had a great time with family and watching the kids dance around the pool!
I hope your weekend gave you a bit of relief and a bit of fun.
